General Secondary & Cultural Education

KS3 and KS4 curriculum material

We help children of secondary school age (11 to 15 years old) with supplementary education (KS3 and KS4 curriculums) which is facilitated by our highly qualified teachers with several years of experience. Our course material for each subject matches the AQA Examination Board for English and Edexcel Examination Board for Mathematics and Science. Our courses have become very popular within the shortest time-period that we started. Due to Covid-19, our classes are mainly on-line at the moment. We hope to return back to the usual face-to-face tutoring as soon as the restrictions on Covid-19 pandemic are relaxed. We hope to add ICT to the core subjects in the very near future; depending on the demand for it.

Our work with the kids is structured with the aim of helping them to achieve good grades in their examinations including the GCSEs. We help them with their mainstream school work so that they are able to perform very well in school; and those that are doing well already can even do much better. Our main goal is to help them to reach their potential and thus eventually fulfil their dreams. We endeavour to keep them busy and prevent truancy which is a well-known common issue among our youth particularly secondary school pupils. This is how we do our bit to prevent gun/knife related crimes and other violent crimes in our society.

Our opening hours for the classes are as follows:

  • Mondays to Fridays – 5pm to 7pm
  • Saturdays 10am to 12pm and 1pm to 3pm

We are thankful for the support we have had so far from our work with the University of Manchester in helping our pupils.

Cultural education and training

Cultural Education

We educate people and create awareness about African culture, tradition and heritage. We organise cultural symposiums, conferences and events where various African cultural activities are showcased. These activities include traditional dance, music, games, sports such as traditional wrestling, fashion and food.

Numerous surveys have shown that, in the science of anthropology, the study of diet is of cardinal significance. In the course of development, mankind has come to realize the importance of food and drink for his very existence and has given these a high place amongst his cultural acquirements.

We teach our youths and adults (regardless of their ethnicity) who are keen to learn African languages such as Swahili, Lingala, Igbo and Yoruba. A curriculum for our Yoruba language has been developed by an African Language specialist whose main speciality is Yoruba Language. The curriculum is being considered by management to be put forward to the Department for Education as a mainstream school subject and for accreditation. We hope to develop curriculums and pursue similar goals for other African languages in due course.
